Sloughing Away the Old to Get to Younger, Softer
Skin with Dr. Ro Bath & Body Therapy Sugar Shea
Scrub
With old
man winter knocking at your door, it’s time
to winterize your skin! Use Dr. Ro Bath and Body
Therapy Sugar Shea Scrub to gently exfoliate the
skin and to remove dead cells from the skin's
surface. This unique blend of natural sugar cane,
shea and mango butter, and essential oils of orange,
vanilla, and grapefruit will dazzle your senses. It
smells so good you could eat it, but Dr. Ro advises
against it. Sold with a disclaimer, “the use of this
productmay result in excessive pawing, fawning, and
unsolicited attention from others.”
What is Exfoliation?
Exfoliation is a process that when applied to the
skin, enables a topical exfoliating product, such as
the Sugar Shea Scrub, to gently rid the skin of dead
skin cells. How is it done, you may ask? The scrub
is applied to the skin and is manually moved across
it’s surface with fingers or applicator. Dead cells
are removed from your skin’s surface with mechanical
or physical friction, pressure, and strength leaving
it smooth and soft. I recommend exfoliating the
entire body at least 2 to 3 times a week.
What are the Benefits of Exfoliation?
You have probably seen tons of ads about exfoliating
products, but do you know why you should even
bother? There are more benefits associated with this
skin-sloughing process than you may know. In
addition to leaving your skin softer and smoother,
exfoliation also goes the extra mile to:
|
· |
Provide friction, which boosts
blood circulation |
|
· |
Unclog pores |
|
· |
Helps cells to turn over at a
faster rate providing a healthier glow and look
for the skin |
|
· |
Aids in stimulating the body to
react in a younger fashion |
|
· |
Creates polished skin as it
increases it’s luster |
Use Dr. Ro Bath & Body Therapy Sugar Shea Body Scrub
to gently exfoliate elbows and knees, which are
often ignored, and thusly, become rough and dry. A
damp facecloth with scrub can gently exfoliate these
areas followed-up with a good moisturizer, such as
the Dr. Ro Bath & Body Therapy Body Crème, to keep
your elbows and knees smooth.
Lips can benefit from exfoliating as much as the
rest of the body. One of the most popular methods is
to use a soft baby's toothbrush with Sugar Shea
Scrub.
And as we age, the skin on the neck begins to
deteriorate and as a result receives little to no
attention because we tend to treat it too gently. A
mild exfoliant can remove dead skin cells that we
haven't even tried to remove. Imagine how much
fresher this area could look if you lose a few
months worth of these cells.
And what about those tired and forgotten,
unattended-to feet that go without any pampering or
care for months on end? Did you know that
exfoliation is essential, especially if you apply
self tanners to your feet? Be sure to exfoliate
every bit of dead skin or you will notice streaking.
During winter it is important to exfoliate
regularly because doing so prevents the skin from
drying and chapping, and moisturizes to boot! So
keep scrubbing and moisturizing and when warm
weather arrives, your heels will be free of cracked,
rough skin and of course, sandal-ready!
